catching up

I've just spent a lovely couple of hours catching up on family and friends' blogs. I was planning on playing Rock Band 2 today, but got caught up in the blogs, while watching Ghost Hunters (just thought I'd throw that in).

My cousin Sherry in Idaho, who is an avid blogger, has a new blog that has me pretty excited. It's a project, actually, that is worldwide, and leave it to Sherry to find it. She knows more people around the world than anyone I know, and is all over the web. But, this blog idea is exciting to me.

The project is to take one picture a day in the area where you live that shows the character and feel and nature of the place where you live. It started in Paris but now there are bloggers all around the world in big cities and small. I didn't see Oklahoma City listed (I decided Moore was too small to go for very long according to the rules you're supposed to follow, but I could use the Oklahoma City metro area). That would satisfy my desire to explore OKC and get me out of the house. You're only allowed to post one picture a day, so on the days I didn't feel well, I could photos from a stockpile. I already have enough to start. I love this idea. There are places I want to go photograph that I wanted to see but didn't have a reason to push me over the edge. Nice to have something to look forward to. Thank you, Sherry.

What's the URL to this new picture blog? I would like to check it out! I think you could have a lot of fun with it, I am really interested to see what type of pictures you end up taking.

This is the URL: http://citydailyphoto.com/
I spent quite a while working on my page last night but still haven't received confirmation on my registration, so I guess I have to try again. I noticed there is one in Chandler, but she just uses it to show off her kids, and her photography isn't very good. This is what I have for my page so far:

I'll let you know if its a go, although I guess it doesn't have to be "official." I would like it to be though.
